Welcome to the dynamic world of the Black Improv Alliance (BIA), where creativity takes center stage in unscripted comedy, drama, and music. This vibrant community is not just about improvisation; it's a powerful platform where people of African descent build culturally authentic worlds, create diverse characters, and share original stories. Beyond the laughter, BIA is dismantling white supremacy by addressing racism head-on and championing increased representation in improv. Though committed to entertaining and uplifting audiences of all colors, BIA's heartbeat is amplifying Black voices - reminding everyone that Black laughs and Black Lives Matter. What We Do
The Black Improv Alliance (BIA) stands at the forefront of creativity, fostering unscripted comedy, drama, and music while engaging with a diverse array of clients. Renowned for our dynamic workshops, we've partnered with esteemed corporate entities like SC Johnson, the Executive Leadership Council, and the AdColor Conference, among others. Our performances have graced prestigious events such as the NY Juneteenth Festival, where our electrifying presence illuminated the stage, and we proudly headlined the Ocean State Black & Funny Improv Festival. Notably, we led an engaging panel discussion at New York Comic Con, further showcasing our commitment to entertainment, education, and amplification of Black voices through the art of improv.
