Black on Both Sides seeks to create Black cofacilitator opportunities, bringing experienced and new teachers together. We don't just want to see more Black facilitators working across the globe in 2021, we want to see them in the room together!
We believe in this program but we also recognize the economic reality. Low workshop sales and splitting fees can be a deterrent. We want facilitators to receive an honourarium that supplements workshop sales.
Look for our Black On Both Sides workshops on our Ticketleap page.
Even as we seek to pay our facilitators, we remain committed to offering free participation to Black people. One third (33%) of the spots will have no economic barrier for Black people; where viable, we will add two additional bursary spots for anyone else.
Fifty percent (50%) of the workshop space will be paid, starting at $25 per person
Donations ($10 and up) made through Ticketleap will contribute to the success of this program
As our program grows, the more we can offer -- more workshops, more facilitators, but first we need help from all those people who have asked in the past.
We want this to grow at a sustainable pace.
If we gain extra monthly patronage of:
... but let's hit the initial goals first
Who's got that first $7 a month to kick it off?
